Regioplexes are larger areas which have a unique identity such as culture heritage or landscape.
The concept
Regioplexes are areas which can grow their unique identity over the next century. This identity can consist of a mixture of the arts, royalty / pageantry, metropolitan life, industrial heritage, ethnic/tribal heritage, language or geographical characteristics. Regioplexes can be small - an island - or be a large urban area consisting of several cities, counties/federal states or even parts of countries. It defines a manageable area for:
- Building culture i.e. preserving and fostering its growth
- Of fostering creativity via diversity.
- Of creating new services
- Of leveling-up, of improving the living standards within the area.
- Of integration within the local national administrations for the benefit of all.
Background
Culture - as seen from the perspective of an area or community, is important for diversity, for entertainment, for our personal identity, for our growth - both as an individual and as a species. Culture can be seen as humankind’s prime ware, and keeping / developing it should be a one of our highest priorities.
The concept of regioplexes offer a framework to discover, categorise, save and develop unique cultural identities around the world which add to the abundance of our lives. From a civic administrative point of view, regioplexes serve as an extra layer between the counties or federal states and national administration, supporting the areas development.

From an r2 point of view, a regioplex is about shifting awareness of what culture diversity is about, that it is beneficial for personal and social growth. Of culturvating the richness of culture for more joy.
